About
Miranda has been drawn to performance since a very young age, and has always had a fascination with costuming and its ability to transform one’s character. Born Miranda Barrie, the great, great, great niece of J.M. Barrie - playwright and author of 'Peter Pan' - it's no surprise that the stage was always so alluring to her.
After training in musical theatre, Jazz and Ballet as a child, and developing her own unique sense of style and costuming through her teens (making her own clothes patterns from age 12), she was instantly attracted to the emerging burlesque scene in London in the early 2000s.
After completing her Art degree at London’s Chelsea College of Art, in 2013 Miranda became one of the first ever burlesque performers to be granted an O-1 'extraordinary ability' visa to perform in the US, and ultimately made the move to Los Angeles in 2015.
Miranda won the title Princess of Burlesque two years running at the New Orleans Burlesque Festival Queen of Burlesque competition (2017 and 2018) and following multiple show residencies in Los Angeles (Tease If You Please, Tarantina, Lucha Va Voom, Voss Events and more) she now produces her own show Reverie Cabaret with a monthly residency at exclusive members’ club Soho House.
She also regularly performs at private events and headlines burlesque festivals internationally, and acts in select film and TV projects. With her high profile modeling work for Moschino, Playboy, Honey Birdette, Frederick’s of Hollywood and others, Miranda has quickly become established as one of the most desirable burlesque performers around.
